Apple’s 2026 iPhone lineup could be very different and slim
Apple is making big changes to its 2026 iPhone lineup and no it is not just about its first foldable device. The company is not likely to bring the base iPhone 18 or the iPhone Air 2 version next year, and we could see just three models announced at its mega September 2026 launch event next year.
All the details have come via Bloomberg in a report this week, which also tells you why the iPhone 17 got significant upgrades this year. The iPhone 18 Pro series is widely tipped to come with a similar design but more focus on the cameras, but the star of the show is going to be the first iPhone Fold.
Apple’s Big Change: What Happens Next?
The report claims Apple will have only three devices launching in 2026 which includes the iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max and the iPhone foldable. What does this mean for the iPhone 18? Bloomberg claims Apple still has plans to launch it but closer to early 2027 when the new iPhone Air 2 might also be unveiled.
This is a big overhaul from the company and going by the earlier leaks from the source, we can assume that Apple is already planning for its strategy around these products.
