The OxygenOS 16 update is already rolling out for OnePlus 13 and 13s models in India and other regions. Here are the update details and more.
The new Android 16-based update will be coming to more devices this month
OnePlus introduced OxygenOS 16 last month and now OnePlus 13 and 13s users are getting the new Android 16 update in India and other regions. The new platform that powers the previous flagship devices has got a visual upgrade along with a host of AI features and better fluid performance across the interface. The search bar is now at the bottom of the screen.
The liquid glass elements are once again evident in the clips but its use has been limited to select apps for now. You get a wide range of clocks that can completely be immersed within the background and add multiple layers of widgets according to the needs.
All these features are now coming to the OnePlus 13 which is the previous flagship model for the brand, as well as the compact powerhouse, the OnePlus 13s in the market.
OxygenOS 16 Update For OnePlus 13 Models: How To Install
OnePlus 13 and 13s users need to have the latest available OxygenOS 15 version installed to get the new upgrade. Once that’s done you can follow these steps to get the Android 16 update:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down to software update
- Check for the OxygenOS 16 update
- Click on download the install the new version
- Reboot the device to let the OxygenOS 16 version take effect

Besides the UI overhaul, OnePlus is also integrating its Plus Mind AI ecosystem to work with Gemini which opens up a whole new playground of apps, tasks and functions.
The Android 16 version gets a new Compass app and you also have a Game Assistant app replacing the Games app. For connectivity, OxygenOS 16 lets you connect with a tablet or PC (Windows or macOS) and transfer files seamlessly. This is a very useful upgrade for Apple users who get more cross-platform support.
Now that OnePlus 13 and 13s users are getting the Android 16 update, focus will shift to the devices highlighted in the November 2025 roster. This includes the OnePlus Open, last year’s OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R, the new OnePlus Pad 3 and the older OnePlus Pad 2 version.
