ChatGPT go free subscription in India: OpenAI is now letting you sign up for its free ChatGPT Go offer in India which starts from November 4, 2025. The company had announced this special deal for users in the country who can try out its affordable ChatGPT plan free of cost for 12 months.
We didn’t have a lot of details about how the plan will work, who can take it and what features the users get. But with the new offer going live on ChatGPT website, we give you all the information needed to sign up for the free ChatGPT Go offer and how to activate it for your account.
ChatGPT Go Free Offer In India: How To Get It?
The special ChatGPT Go free deal is now live on ChatGPT web version. This offer is available for anybody using the free ChatGPT version, or have already paid OpenAI for the Go plan in India. Follow these steps to get the free ChatGPT Go plan:
- Open ChatGPT on web browser
- Click on the Upgrade for free tab at the top of the screen
- Select the Go special offer and click on Upgrade to Go
- OpenAI will send an OTP to the registered number or email ID for verification
- You will see the payment page open where you can enter the card details or UPI ID
- Users will be charged Re 0 for the transaction and the Go plan will be activated for 12 months on the account
OpenAI has clearly mentioned that the, “promo pricing applies for 12 months. Starting Nov 4, 2026, ChatGPT Go will continue at Rs 399/month. Cancel anytime.” We were independently able to see the free offer on the web version and the mobile app will gradually see the new deal come for users.
ChatGPT Go Free Plan Features And Benefits
ChatGPT Go generally offers a wide range of features but the free Go offer has some of these, while some are missing:
- Access to GPT 5
- Support for more messages and file uploads
- Extended and faster image generation
- Memory access to personalise chats
- Deep research access but with limit
- Legacy models like ChatGPT 4o are not included with ChatGPT Go
- You cannot use Sora AI video generation tool
- Codex agent feature is also not available
