OpenAI is bringing a special ChatGPT offer for users in India in November. This will be a limited period offer where you can sign up for its ChatGPT Go plan free of cost for one year. The company will become the latest in the AI arena to offer its AI chatbot subscription for free in the country.
This has been mentioned in multiple reports, including Moneycontrol, where it claims the free ChatGPT Go offer will start from November 4, 2025 but for a limited promotional period.
ChatGPT Go was introduced first in India back in August this year, catering to a wider audience who can access GPT 5 and other tools for a fraction of what you pay for the ChatGPT Plus version, albeit with some features omitted. But since then, ChatGPT Go has launched in over 90 markets, as highlighted by the company, quoted in the same report.
“Ahead of our first DevDay Exchange event in India, we’re making ChatGPT Go freely available for a year to help more people across India easily access and benefit from advanced AI. We’re excited to see the amazing things our users will build, learn, and achieve with these tools,” Nick Turley, Vice President & Head for ChatGPT was quoted saying in the report.
Free ChatGPT Go Offer: How To Get This One Year Deal From OpenAI?
ChatGPT Go plan costs Rs 399 per month which is the most affordable way to try out OpenAI tools and the latest GPT 5 AI model. However, the special deal starting next month will let you sign up for ChatGPT Go for Re 0 that will be valid for 12 months.
The limited period offer is likely to be available for new ChatGPT signups but we do hope that existing ChatGPT users also get the chance to avail the offer. More details should be rolling out via the official ChatGPT website in the next few days. At the time of writing, we were not able to see the ChatGPT Go free offer details or steps to get the one year deal.
Google has offered a similar 12 month free Gemini AI Pro deal but for students in the country, while you have Perplexity signing up with telecom operator Airtel to give free Pro subscription to anyone with an Airtel prepaid/postpaid connection or even the Wi-Fi/DTH network. You also can try out the Comet AI browser which goes up against ChatGPT Atlas in the market.
