The Government of India introduced the Jeevan Pramaan, an Aadhaar-based Digital Life Certificate (DLC) on November 10, 2014, to make pension verification simple and paperless. This initiative allows pensioners to confirm their life status digitally, without the need to visit banks or pension offices physically.

In 2025, senior citizens can now submit their life certificates conveniently through Doorstep Banking Services (DSB) offered by Public Sector Banks (PSB Alliance) and the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB). Here’s everything you need to know about using this hassle-free service.

What Is Doorstep Banking for Life Certificate Submission?

Doorstep Banking Services (DSB) is a digital platform managed by the PSB Alliance, enabling customers of public sector banks to avail select banking services right at their doorstep. One of the most important among these services is the submission of the Jeevan Pramaan Patra (Digital Life Certificate).

In addition to PSBs, pensioners can also use the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) for submitting their life certificates. The service is available to both IPPB account holders and non-IPPB customers.

When Can Pensioners Submit Their Digital Life Certificate (DLC) in 2025?

The timeline for submission of the Jeevan Pramaan Patra varies by age group:

Pensioners aged 80 years and above:

Submitting within the correct window ensures that pension disbursement continues smoothly without interruptions.
