Smriti Mandhana & Pratika Rawal Shatter Multiple Records As India Dominate New Zealand For Spot In Semis


Smriti Mandhana (105) and Pratika Rawal (122) struck regal hundreds as a reinvigorated India outclassed New Zealand by a sumptuous 53-run margin to power-walk into the Women’s World Cup semi-finals. Mandhana matched Australian legend Meg Lanning’s record of 17 international centuries, the joint-most by any woman cricketer. Her impressive tally includes 14 ODI tons, two in Tests, and one in T20Is. In the ongoing 2025 ICC Women’s World Cup, she leads the run charts with 331 runs in six innings, averaging over 55 with one century and two fifties. Mandhana also equalled South Africa’s Tazmin Brits for the most ODI centuries in a calendar year (five) and broke Lizelle Lee’s record for most sixes in a year (29). Alongside Pratika Rawal, equalled Belinda Clark and Lisa Keightley’s record of five century stands in a single year, with their 212-run partnership against New Zealand becoming India’s highest in Women’s World Cups.
