OnePlus users are getting the new Android 16 update this week which should be rolling out for many devices in the next few months.
OxygenOS 16 will be introduced with the OnePlus 15 launch
OnePlus is bringing its Android 16 update this month in the form of the OxygenOS 16 version that will be available in the beta and eventually public release in the next few weeks.
The big OxygenOS 16 event is confirmed for October 16 which is a week away and we will get more details about the new software version, its design UI changes and other enhanced features which should include AI tools via the OnePlus AI ecosystem. The teasers have already started, once again touting the smoothness and fluidity of the UI but there should be more on offer.
OxygenOS 16 Update: Which OnePlus Devices Will Get It?
OnePlus has a wide range of devices which includes smartphones and tablets. These are the OnePlus devices that will be eligible for the OxygenOS 16 update:

- OnePlus 13s
- OnePlus 13R
- OnePlus 12
- OnePlus 12R
- OnePlus 11
- OnePlus 11R
OnePlus Nord
- Nord 3
- Nord 4
- Nord 5
- Nord CE 4

OnePlus Pad
The list is quite easy to understand since OnePlus has promised 4 OS upgrades for most of these devices and the Android 16 update will be the last for some of them. The whole OnePlus Pad series gets upgraded which is good to see, including a wide range of Nord and Nord CE phones. And it goes without saying that the OnePlus 15 version will get OxygenOS 16 update out of the box.
OnePlus Devices That Will Not Get Android 16 Update

OnePlus AI is already a key part of its ecosystem and the new OxygenOS 16 version could add a few more feathers in its AI cap. The launch could also have OnePlus share the details about which devices get the new Android 16 update. OnePlus is also going to make Gemini AI models work on-device which keeps the data secure and it can be accessed through the Plus Mind folder.
