Samsung Galaxy One UI 8 update is coming to more devices but what about India?
Samsung Galaxy One UI 8 stable update is rolling out to its older Galaxy devices and the company has confirmed its new roll out for Galaxy S23 series albeit without any signs for the Indian users just yet. The stable Android 16 rollout shows Samsung is learning from its 2024 mistakes where the One UI 7 release was delayed by a long stretch and many had to wait till mid-2025 to get their Android 15 One UI update.
But things are drastically different this year and the One UI 8 updates and hitting the older devices much faster this time around. The Galaxy S23 users living in South Korea are the first bunch to receive the new update, as highlighted by tipster Tarun Vats in a recent post.
Samsung One UI 8 Update For Galaxy S23 Series
The new One UI 8 update is coming to select regions for now and it seems users in India will be getting it soon. These are the Samsung devices getting the new Android 16 version:
- Galaxy S23
- Galaxy S23+
- Galaxy S23 Ultra
The new version has rolled out for this year’s Galaxy S25 series, and even the S24 models have got the One UI 8 update. But in addition to this, the company will offer the new One UI 8 update for other Galaxy devices and foldables before the end of 2025. Samsung Galaxy users in India are still waiting for the stable One UI 8 release and we do expect more details from the company soon.

Galaxy S23 users can follow these steps to install the One UI 8 stable update on their device:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down to Software update
- Check for the new update
- Install and reboot the phone
- One UI 8 stable is now running on your phone
Samsung One UI 8 Update: What’s New?
Samsung is bringing a wide range of features with the One UI 8 update but the UI overhaul is minimal after making the changes with the One UI 7 version. The biggest difference is the heavy integration with Gemini thanks to multimodal AI at a deep level. The responses to AI queries are faster thanks to on-device processing (in some cases), and other built-in AI tools from the company.
Samsung has also improved the built-in security of the devices with improved privacy tools and ensure that devices are safe even when there are major hacking risks. You also have Knox security measures claiming to protect the data residing on the devices with One UI 8 running.
