Virat Kohli may dominate the cricket field and Anushka Sharma the silver screen, but beyond their professional triumphs, the power couple often makes headlines for their spiritual pursuits. Be it Rishikesh’s Swami Dayananda Ashram, Neem Karoli Baba’s ashram, or Premanand Maharaj in Vrindavan, the couple’s spiritual journey has often been in the spotlight.

Renowned motivational and spiritual speaker Jaya Kishori, who has captivated audiences with her bhajans since childhood, recently shared her thoughts on the spiritual journey of actress Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli. (Instagram/@iamjayakishori)

Speaking to Instant Bollywood, Kishori said, “A truly successful person is one who embraces the spiritual path. Only then can they find peace in their success, family, and life. Virat and Anushka already had everything—work, wealth, a home—but what they sought was peace, which drew them towards spirituality. Now, they have it all, along with inner calm.” (Instagram/@iamjayakishori)

According to a Times of India report, Kishori also explained that people often assume celebrities’ lives are perfect, but in reality, they too go through emotional ups and downs. (Instagram/@iamjayakishori)

“At times, they may feel emotionally unsettled and turn to God for strength. In their work too, there are highs and lows—sometimes they perform brilliantly, sometimes not. Their life isn’t perfect, only they know the reality. But by showing that even those who are materially successful seek spirituality for peace and fulfillment, they are setting a powerful example for the world,” she said. (Instagram/@iamjayakishori)

Jaya Kishori also praised the balance the couple has maintained in their lives. She said, “They haven’t given up anything— not their home, work, or family. They have managed it all, and that balance comes from spirituality. This is what we call a complete life.”

In May 2025, Virat Kohli retired from Test cricket. Since then, he and Anushka have stepped back from public life, focusing on family and spiritual well-being.

Virat and Anushka are currently in London with their children, Vamika and Akaay, embracing a life focused on family and inner peace away from the public eye.
