Amazon and Flipkart festive 2025 sales are here to give you some big discounts
The festive season is well and truly here as we have both Amazon and Flipkart starting their annual deals bonanza with the Great Indian Festival and Big Billion Days (BBD), respectively. Starting this Monday, you get a wide range of offers and discounts on popular items like iPhone 16, or smart TVs and even home appliances.
Thanks to the GST 2.0 rate effect, you can pick these up at new prices that make the deals even better for the consumer this festive period.
Amazon And Flipkart Season Sales From September 22
Both the online platforms offer early access to their Flipkart Black and Amazon Prime members who can grab all the deals 24 hours before the rest of the country. These new deals allow the GST price effect to truly make a difference for the buyers, especially if they have been eyeing a new TV, AC or even a dishwasher that now comes in the 18 percent GST bracket.
Flipkart is expecting a big impact because of the price changes, and is braced for well over 300 million unique visitors on the platform during the BBD sales. It has even ramped up the workforce to cover 19,500 pin codes available across 4,500 locations in the country.
Amazon has done its own work to set up the battlefield of its workforce who will be handling the rush with 12 new fulfilment centres. The platform is also bringing a wider range of payment/financing options so that people don’t have to spend all the money in one go.
We’ve already seen the iPhone 16 Pro available for around Rs 69,900 while other models like the iPhone 15 selling for less than Rs 55,000 during the festive sales. The offers will also make it appealing to pick up a large screen LED 4K TV now that the prices have come down.
The GST 2.0 Impact
The GST 2.0 rate effect is negligible for smartphones and laptops as their tax slabs have not been changed. However, iPhones (old and new) are likely to be the pick of the bunch among buyers once again. While Samsung looks to entice with its own offers on the Galaxy S24 Ultra or even the 25 Ultra model that came out earlier this year.
Even the MacBook Airs are selling at special discount prices during these sales and another big-ticket purchase that people could look at splurging on. The 2025 festive sales could be one of the biggest in the last few years and the new price changes could sweeten the deal further.
