The GST 2.0 price changes come into effect from Monday, September 22, 2025 for a wide range of items including many electronics. Yes, phones and laptops are not part of the revised list but other big ticket devices like TVs, ACs and even dishwashers form a part of the new price group. TVs and festive sales are the ideal match and this year’s GST impact will allow many people to upgrade and even go beyond their earlier budget.

According to reports, brands like LG, Sony and Xiaomi among others are looking to pass on the benefits of these changes and make 4K TVs affordable for the consumers. But how much money will that save you? Here are the details.

GST 2.0: 4K TV Price Changes For Buyers

The 10 percent GST rate benefits mean buyers can expect price drop from around Rs 2,500 to as high as Rs 85,000 for the premium models. The 32-inch TV segment is one of the most popular in the market and any price changes for these models will catapult their demand among the buyers. Sony Bravia TVs in India are going to see their prices reduced between Rs 5,000 and Rs 71,000 for the premium 4K models.

Xiaomi is offering the 43-inch 4K TV lineup with a price reduction of Rs 5,000 while the premium models are seeing Rs 7,000 and up to Rs 10,000 drop in their earlier prices. The 43-inch TV segment is one of the top demanded ranges in the market and getting these TVs for the reduced prices makes more people consider them for their upgrade.

LG has dropped the prices of its 43-inch models by around 3,000 and the bigger 55-inch and 65-inch also available for a similar price reduction post the GST impact. The premium 100-inch TV sees its price drop all the way from Rs 5,85,590 to under Rs 5 lakh which is a massive Rs 85,000 price cut.

Even Panasonic is making the price changes to its wide array of TV models, starting from the basic 43-inch TVs that now cost around Rs 4,500 cheaper than before, while the bigger 55-inch versions see their prices slashed by around Rs 7,000 from their earlier prices.

While this might not be the AC weather in most parts of the country, the GST price changes mean people will be eyeing a new model and this is the ideal time to get the upgrade for less money.
