Batting first, Australia posted 412 runs, powered by Beth Mooney’s explosive 138 from 75 balls. Georgia Voll added 81, while veteran Ellyse Perry contributed a fluent 68, building huge momentum.

India fought valiantly in reply, finishing with 369 all out. Smriti Mandhana starred with a breathtaking 125 from 63 balls.

She was supported by Deepti Sharma’s composed 72 from 58 deliveries.

Smriti Mandhana broke records by smashing the fastest Indian ODI hundred, reaching her century in only 50 balls. She surpassed Virat Kohli’s 52-ball century, underlining her exceptional batting brilliance.

The thrilling encounter saw 111 boundaries, including 99 fours and 12 sixes, setting a new record for the most boundaries struck in a women’s ODI game in history.

Despite Mandhana’s heroics, Australia’s huge target proved insurmountable. Their superior batting depth and aggressive intent helped clinch victory, demonstrating why they remain the most dominant side in women’s cricket.
