Air India Express launches new offer with exclusive discounts and faster bookings


Air India Express has unveiled its latest initiative, the ‘Book Direct’ campaign, aimed at encouraging passengers to book directly through the airline’s official website and mobile application. The value carrier, which connects 41 domestic and 17 international destinations, is offering exclusive savings, added flexibility and faster digital booking through via the new campaign.

The airline said that travellers booking tickets on its digital platforms can benefit from up to 20% off through promotional codes, selected bank offers and zero convenience fees on app payments or website transactions made via net banking. The streamlined booking process has been designed for speed, enabling customers to complete bookings in less than a minute.

In addition to promotional discounts, students and senior citizens are entitled to a minimum 6% concession, while armed forces personnel and their families can receive up to 50% off. Air India Express highlighted that these savings can be stacked with other ongoing offers, potentially reaching as much as 70% discounts in total. Its ‘Fare Lock’ feature also allows travellers to secure fares for up to seven days by paying a small fee, ensuring protection against any subsequent price hikes.

Holders of Mastercard debit and credit cards are also eligible for flat-rate discounts of ₹250 on domestic tickets and ₹600 on international bookings. Passengers pre-ordering meals through the website or app can avail up to 50% off, with the airline’s signature ‘Gourmair’ dishes available for pre-booking up to 18 hours ahead of international journeys and 12 hours prior to domestic departures. Logged-in members also gain access to exclusive offers.

To suit different travel needs, Air India Express is providing a choice of fare options. These include Xpress Lite for those travelling without checked-in baggage, Xpress Value with 15 kg of baggage allowance, Xpress Flex for passengers requiring last-minute changes without extra costs, and discounts of 25% on Xpress Biz fares and 20% on Biz Upgrades for domestic flights.

Announcing the campaign, the airline said it is reinforcing its promise of transparency and convenience. By eliminating hidden charges, expanding dining options, and offering personalised fare structures, the carrier is providing passengers better control over bookings and meals onboard.
