Apple unveiled its own thin phone iteration called the iPhone Air mimicking its MacBook version with a sleek design and other premium niceties. The company has taken out the Plus variant to introduce the Air moniker in its 4-device lineup for 2025 and the early signs have been exciting, especially with the teasers of the product and what you see.

Making a sleek phone can be tough but Apple has tried its best to make a durable device. Having said that, iPhone Air measures at 5.6mm in thickness and weighs 165 grams which puts it in the delicate category and that might not appeal to everyone.

Apple launched the iPhone 16e with a single camera at the back, and the results have shown us what the buyers want. The iPhone Air also has a single 48MP rear sensor which might look appealing but in practical terms, most might not like that on a premium device.

Apple confirmed that iPhone Air is a sleek device and it ditches the physical SIM slot. And yes, it is not limited to the US region or Europe, the eSIM option is applicable for all the markets, including India and China. Having the luxury of one physical SIM on the device has always been useful but now the company has taken that away on the sleek model.

iPhone Air is sleek, just like the Galaxy S25 Edge from Samsung. And early reports suggest the new model has a 3,100mAh battery which is even smaller than the one on the S25 Edge. Apple claims to have done its homework with the battery and promises all-day support, but we’re not sure about that. The brand has even launched a MagSafe battery pack just for this model, which tells you something.

iPhone Air price in India starts at Rs 1,19,900 which is what you paid for the 16 Pro model last year. At this range, people expect more of everything, but will a sleek design make them change their mind, we’re not sure.
