As Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations continue in full swing across the country, thousands of devotees are thronging to seek blessings from Lalbaugcha Raja, Mumbai\u2019s most revered Ganesha idol. From politicians to celebrities, millions of devotees visit Lalbaug to witness the grandeur of Ganeshotsav every year.<\/p>\n

Among the sea of devotees this year were popular actresses Pragya Jaiswal<\/a> and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. But their visit to the Lalbaugcha Raja has gone viral for more than just spiritual reasons.<\/p>\n

In a now-trending video, both actresses are seen dressed in elegant traditional pink outfits. To receive blessings from Lord Ganesha, they were seen trying to make their way through a densely packed crowd. But what was meant to be a serene moment turned into a visibly stressful experience for the stars, as the large number of devotees made movement nearly impossible.<\/p>\n

The clip shows Pragya and Priyanka visibly uncomfortable and astounded as people surround them from all sides, making it quite challenging for them to navigate. Security personnel eventually stepped in to help clear a path, guiding the actresses towards the idol of Lord Ganesha.<\/p>\n

Social media users were quick to comment on the viral video. A majority of users called out the mismanagement of staff, while others talked about what the public face during darshan.<\/p>\n

One user remarked, \u201cEven VIPs are no longer treated as VIPs,” while another noted, \u201cNormal public ki bhi same halat hoti.” \u201cLalbaugcharaja, failure of the committee,” said a user. \u201cReality of Lalbaug cha Raja. Too much push created by internal staff rather than devotees,” stated another.<\/p>\n

Crowd Mismanagement at Lalbaugcha Raja<\/strong><\/p>\n

This incident added to growing concerns about crowd mismanagement during Ganeshotsav at Lalbaug. Several past visitors have taken to social media to recount harrowing experiences at the venue.<\/p>\n

One recent case involved a family from Surat who travelled to Mumbai hoping for a spiritual experience. Instead, their cherished outing turned out to be a nightmare. Due to the \u201cmismanagement” by temple authorities, a man\u2019s younger sister sustained a head injury, his father fainted from suffocation, his mother\u2019s kurti sleeve got torn, and her hand could have gotten severely injured due to the \u201cviolent rushing by staff”.<\/p>\n
