Shah Rukh Khan recalls why he never gave his kids \u2018the talk\u2019, admits he\u2019s too shy to discuss sex education.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Shah Rukh Khan has never shied away from speaking his truth, no matter how awkward the subject may be. Back in 2016, the superstar admitted that he has never discussed sex with his children \u2013 not because of distance, but because he is too shy to bring it up.<\/p>\n

Shah Rukh Khan On Sex Education<\/h2>\n

In an interview in 2026, as quoted in The Quint, Shah Rukh Khan admitted, \u201cMy mother gave me sex education classes (laughs<\/em>!). For me, it\u2019s the other way, do I sit my kids down and talk to them? No. I am extremely friendly with my children and if I am not being too presumptuous, I think it\u2019s because of the relationship that I shared with my father. Also, I am personally very shy so I may not be able to educate my children about sex, so I don\u2019t bring that up. Sometimes while watching films together, I feel that they are perhaps a little more educated about it than I am. Maybe I should take a little class from them.”<\/p>\n

The actor even joked about his teenage son and daughter being more aware than him, adding that it\u2019s perfectly fine to admit when you don\u2019t know something.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a simple philosophy towards my children or the people who I love. Two aspects I never question. First, is their action, which I believe is all good. Second, is their ability to say \u2018I don\u2019t know\u2019. If I ask my son why he did something and he tells me, \u2018I don\u2019t know\u2019, it\u2019s a good enough answer. In schools when you are asked a question and you say that you don\u2019t know, it\u2019s often humiliating. It is a child\u2019s right not to know. And even an adult\u2019s right. At 51, it\u2019s my right not to know and my self-confidence is really high even though you ask me something and I don\u2019t know it.”<\/p>\n

Shah Rukh Khan Upcoming Movies<\/h2>\n

On the work front, the superstar will next be seen in King, a film that also features his daughter Suhana Khan, making the father-daughter collaboration one of the most-awaited big-screen events. His son, Aryan Khan, has taken to directing and is debuting behind the camera with The Ba***ds of Bollywood.<\/p>\n

SRK, meanwhile, is also basking in the glory of his first National Award win. The actor has won it for Atlee\u2019s Jawan.<\/p>\n
