In a big boost for India, T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav is back to full-intensity practice in nets and looks in brilliant form. The Mumbaikar has only recently recovered from a surgery for a sports hernia and was, at one stage, in a race against time to be fully fit at the time of squad selection.<\/p>\n

The right-hander shared a video on his Instagram showing glimpses of his hit on what looked like a turning red-soil track. He was seen mostly facing spinners and hitting them all around the ground in typical style. He also celebrated it with full fervor at one stage, gleefully raising two bats for the camera.<\/p>\n

Once the top-ranked batter in T20Is, Suryakumar is considered the best player of spin in the country for T20Is and currently, is currently seen as the team\u2019s most important batter. His form on the likely turning tracks of the UAE would be crucial to the team\u2019s success.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the day of the squad announcement, Suryakumar had revealed his road to recovery, from realising that he had the injury during the IPL, and going through a \u2018checklist\u2019 to analyse it further.<\/p>\n

\u201cI tried those things and then I realised that it\u2019s time to go and do a small MRI. When I did it, it was very clear in that. I did it post-IPL, went to Germany. It went really well how it went last year and I knew how the recovery is going to be step by step. So we took one week at a time, and we are here and I\u2019m feeling good,” he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most important thing for me is when you come here at CoE or when I was here at NCA last year as well, they understood how my body reacts to certain situations\u2026 accordingly, they planned all the workouts. As soon as I used to hit the gym and I came here, they would plan the sessions and that\u2019s how we took one week at a time and slowly but steadily we are here.”<\/p>\n
