Star India pacer Mohit Sharma has said that as a young cricketer, he once got abused by former captain MS Dhoni, recalling how one of his acts during a CLT20 match found the latter furious and even after he managed to take a wicket, Dhoni was still fuming.<\/p>\n

Over the years, the idea that Dhoni<\/a> always kept his cool under pressure has been challenged more than once. Now, Mohit has revealed an unheard story, adding to the growing list of moments where Dhoni\u2019s composure slipped.<\/p>\n

The Indian pacer and Dhoni have played a lot of cricket together for the Indian side, the 2015 World Cup and for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a lot of moments. Mahi bhai<\/em> has a cool and calm aura. You do not expect him to lose his cool. Being a young guy, you get excited when he loses his cool at you. There was a moment in the CLT20 against the Kolkata Knight Riders, Mahi bhai<\/em> called Ishwar Pandey to bowl, but I thought he called me,” Mohit said while speaking to\u00a0CricTracker.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI started my run-up, but Mahi bhai<\/em> said that he didn\u2019t call me to bowl and he tried calling Ishwar. The umpire said that I have to continue bowling as I had begun my run-up,” Mohit added.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe (Dhoni) lost his cool at me and abused me. I took Yusuf [Pathan] bhai<\/em>\u2018s wicket on the first ball. During the celebration, Mahi bhai<\/em> was still hurling abuses. At the same time, I had a lot of off-field moments,” Mohit said.<\/p>\n

Dhoni and the Indian pacer\u2019s Indian Premier League association lasted multiple years until the tables turned in IPL 2023. Playing for the Gujarat Titans in the final, Mohit was up against his old franchise, bowling the final over to Ravindra Jadeja.<\/p>\n
