Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Ammy Virk and others lead relief efforts for flood-hit families in Punjab.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Punjab is battling one of the worst flood disasters in decades, with heavy rains swelling the Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi rivers along with seasonal rivulets. Since August 1, twelve districts have been severely affected, claiming 29 lives and impacting more than 2.56 lakh people. Amid the crisis, several Punjabi celebrities have come forward to provide much-needed relief.<\/p>\n

Ammy Virk shared that he and his team will support 200 flood-affected families. \u201cSeeing our people without a roof over their heads has left me devastated. In our small effort to bring comfort and stability, we are adopting 200 houses to support those who have lost everything. This is not just about shelter, it\u2019s about giving hope, dignity, and strength to start again,” Virk wrote on X.<\/p>\n

Diljit Dosanjh, Sonu Sood and Others Join Relief Efforts<\/strong><\/p>\n

Diljit Dosanjh has adopted 10 villages across Gurdaspur and Amritsar in collaboration with NGOs and local authorities. His team revealed that they are working to provide immediate relief, including food, water, and medical aid. Once floodwaters recede, rehabilitation and long-term rebuilding measures will be implemented. \u201cTogether, we can rebuild,” Dosanjh\u2019s team stated on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Actress Sonam Bajwa also took to her Instagram account and shared, \u201cIn these difficult times, my heart goes out to Punjab and everyone affected by the floods. The images and stories coming from there are truly heartbreaking, but what keeps me hopeful is the spirit of unity and resilience that Punjab has always shown. I am doing my part to help by donating to organisations actively working on ground as rescue teams, and I humbly urge you to do yours too. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference in someone\u2019s life right now. Let\u2019s come together and stand by Punjab in this crucial time.”<\/p>\n

Sonu Sood expressed his commitment to helping affected communities, writing on Facebook, \u201cTogether with all of you, we will get everyone back on their feet. Punjab is my soul. Even if it takes everything, I will not back down. We are Punjabis and we do not give up.”<\/p>\n

Other stars contributing include actor Gippy Grewal, who sent truckloads of silage for cattle in Ajnala, and singers Karan Aujla, Ranjit Bawa, Inderjit Nikku, and Sunanda Sharma. Aujla shared that he is providing boats, medicines, food, and fodder while urging fans to step in and help the affected villagers. Actor Sanjay Dutt also expressed support, calling the floods \u201ctruly heartbreaking” and promising assistance in every way possible.<\/p>\n
