Shah Rukh Khan\u2019s long-standing manager Pooja Dadlani is over the moon as the superstar clinched his first-ever National Film Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for Jawan. The recognition came as part of the 71st National Film Awards for films certified in 2023. Shah Rukh shared the Best Actor honour with Vikrant Massey (12th Fail).<\/p>\n

Taking to Instagram, Pooja shared a snapshot of the official certificate that mentioned SRK\u2019s win for Jawan. She wrote, \u201cToooo happy to see @iamsrk win the National Award for Jawan\u2026 A deeply deserving honour for all that you have put into achieving this!!”<\/p>\n

She went on to express her appreciation for director Atlee and the fans: \u201cBig hugs to @atlee47 for making a film that is garnering such accolades\u2026 big thank you to the fans for loving the film so much\u2026 for loving SRK so much! And\u2026 thank you God!!!”<\/p>\n

Jawan, directed by Atlee, featured Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role and was lauded for its commercial appeal and massy storytelling. The film struck a chord with audiences, becoming one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, collecting over Rs 1,100 crore at the global box office. It also marked a significant milestone for SRK, further cementing his return to box office dominance after Pathaan.<\/p>\n

This award is especially meaningful considering SRK\u2019s nearly three-decade-long career, during which he was often celebrated by audiences but overlooked by the National Awards jury.
