This marks a significant increase from 2015, when 67% of elected MLAs were millionaires, representing a 14% rise over the five-year period.<\/p>\n<p id=\"3\" class=\"story_para_3\">The average assets of these successful candidates in 2020 were estimated at Rs 4.32 crore, with 61 MLAs possessing assets exceeding Rs 5 crore. This trend underscores the growing financial wealth among Bihar\u2019s legislators.<\/p>\n<h2>Meet The Top 5 Richest Legislators In Bihar<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"listOncontentArticleUL\">\n<li><strong>Anant Kumar Singh:<\/strong> Among the wealthiest MLAs, Anant Kumar Singh, elected from Mokama on a Rashtriya Janata Dal ticket, topped the list with assets worth Rs 68.56 crore. However, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison under the Arms Act by the Patna MP-MLA Court on June 21, 2022, resulting in the loss of his MLA status.
