Farhan Akhtar Shares Update About Alia, Priyanka, Katrina\u2019s Jee Le Zaraa<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif starrer Jee Le Zaraa was announced by Farhan Akhtar in 2021. Over the last few years, several reports claimed that the project has been delayed due to scheduling conflicts. Many speculated whether the project has been shelved entirely, since there has been no update in the last four years. Now, Farhan Akhtar has finally set the record straight, clarifying that Jee Le Zaraa has not been shelved. He said that while he is unsure about the cast, and cannot comment on it anymore, the film will definitely happen. He also stated that a significant amount of work, including location scouting and music composition, has already been done on the film.<\/p>\n

Farhan Akhtar Shares Update About Jee Le Zaraa<\/strong><\/p>\n

In an interview on the YouTube channel \u2018Our Stupid Reactions\u2019, Farhan Akhtar was asked whether Jee Le Zaraa, starring Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif has been shelved. He replied, \u201cI would hate to say that it\u2019s shelved. What I will say is that it\u2019s put on a backburner. It is a film that will happen. I don\u2019t know when it will be. But it\u2019s too delicious a script.” He further stated that it\u2019s just on hold currently, and that the film will definitely happen.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd there\u2019s so much work that has already been done on it. I finished all the location scouts, have recorded music for the film. All of the stuff is done. So it\u2019s just a matter of time that we need to, we\u2019ll get back to it again. I can\u2019t comment on the cast on that anymore. But will the film happen? The film will happen,” he said.<\/p>\n

Jee Le Zaraa Delay<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jee Le Zara is touted to be a road-trip film similar to the hit film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara which starred Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol. Rumours had earlier claimed that Katrina and Priyanka are no longer a part of the film.<\/p>\n

During an interview with Variety in 2023, Farhan Akhtar claimed that the dates were an issue behind the delay. He told the publication, \u201cWe just have issues with dates, and the actor\u2019s strike that\u2019s happened has put Priyanka\u2019s dates into a huge tizzy with what can happen and what can\u2019t, so I\u2019ve started genuinely believing that that film now has a destiny of its own. It\u2019ll happen when it has to, we\u2019ll see.”<\/p>\n

When Priyanka Chopra Expressed Excitement For Jee Le Zaraa<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2021, while announcing Jee Le Zaraa, Priyanka Chopra shared a note that read, \u201cLet\u2019s rewind, to me musing about wanting to do another Hindi movie ASAP, on an unusually rainy night in Mumbai in Nov 2019. But it had to be the right one \u2013 different, cool, never been done before\u2026 I thought. The idea grew into a movie helmed by an all-female cast. There are not enough Hindi movies that are female multi-starrers. This led to an impulsive phone call\u2026 to my 2 real friends about this idea that involved 3 on-screen girlfriends. A celebration of friendship we called it!!”<\/p>\n

\u201cKatrina, Alia, and I enthusiastically met in February 2020 (as seen in this picture), just before the world shut down, to discuss who we could trust to bring this vision to life for us and our choice was unanimous\u2026 Farhan and Ritesh, Zoya and Reema. We had all worked with @excelmovies and @tigerbabyfilms individually so this seemed perfect. It just so happened that Farhan was working on a female road trip movie at the same time! Talk about all the stars aligning!! And here we are today\u2026 #JeeLeZaraa\u2026 it only took 3 years to align all our schedules but we stuck together and got it done!
