Amit Shah said India had launched a “limited aggression” against terror camps in Pakistan to exercise its legitimate right to self-defence.<\/h2>\n

Union Home Minister Amit Shah clarified on Wednesday that India had not declared war against Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, and that it was a \u201climited aggression” in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22.<\/p>\n

Responding to the Opposition\u2019s claims about why a ceasefire was announced, Shah said in Rajya Sabha, \u201cWe did not even declare a war (against Pakistan). What kind of ceasefire are you talking about? It was a limited aggression, an attack on terrorism and the use of our legitimate right to self-defence.”<\/p>\n

He further touched upon Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), saying, \u201cRahul Gandhi should not be worried about PoK, the BJP will take it back.” He accused the Congress of giving a clean chit to Pakistan for several decades.<\/p>\n

\u201cCongress has no right to ask the BJP questions about terrorism. The only reason terrorism spread in the country was because of Congress\u2019 votebank and appeasement politics,” he added.<\/p>\n

Amit Shah made it clear that there would be no conversation between India and Pakistan unless the latter stopped supporting terrorism. \u201cNarendra Modi has put our democracy in the global spotlight. The G20 hosted by us was the most successful G20 summit,” he added.<\/p>\n

He also pledged to end all forms of terrorism and Naxalism. \u201cThere was a time when Pakistan didn\u2019t even need to send terrorists from across the border \u2014 our own Kashmiri youth were taking up arms. But today, in the last six months, not a single Kashmiri youth has been recruited into any terrorist organisation, and all those being killed are Pakistanis,” he added.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah had clarified in the Op Sindoor debate in the Parliament that no third country had intervened in the conflict, and that India had launched limited, non-escalatory strikes at terror camps that were stopped after 100% of its objectives were met and Pakistan asked for a ceasefire.<\/p>\n
