The Delhi Premier League (DPL), organised by the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), has swiftly become one of India\u2019s top cricketing events. The tournament has emerged as a celebration of Delhi\u2019s cricket culture and a hub for emerging talent.<\/p>\n

Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir, on Sunday, praised DPL\u2019s impact.<\/p>\n

What Gautam Gambhir Said About Delhi Premier League?<\/h2>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been at home and I haven\u2019t watched a lot of cricket, but it\u2019s a great platform for a lot of these boys who can showcase their talent. And DPL is a fantastic job. They\u2019ve done a great job of giving such kind of a platform to so many players who can showcase their talent,” Gambhir said to the broadcaster.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think there will never be a shortage of talent in Delhi, because a lot of kids go and will play cricket, and obviously, the local competitions are really tough. And I believe, Delhi has so much to offer, not only for Delhi cricket, but a lot for India cricket as well. And hopefully these boys will keep showcasing the talent,” he added.<\/p>\n

The numbers do not lie, and the ongoing 2025 season supports Gambhir\u2019s belief.<\/p>\n

The batting charts feature emerging stars who have performed consistently. East Delhi Riders\u2019 Arpit Rana leads the run tally with 495 runs in 11 matches, including six half-centuries. Young India prospect Yash Dhull has been in superb form for Central Delhi Kings, amassing 435 runs at an impressive average of 87 with two centuries. Nitish Rana\u2019s leadership for West Delhi Lions has been equally inspiring, highlighted by his unbeaten 134. Players like Sarthak Ranjan, Anuj Rawat, and Tejasvi have ensured the tournament remains exciting for locals.<\/p>\n

Not just batter but bowlers too have produced promising talents. Money Grewal of Central Delhi Kings leads with 20 wickets, while Simarjeet Singh, Rajneesh Dadar and Sumit Kumar have delivered game-changing spells. Manan Bhardwaj of West Delhi Lions has stood out with his economy and consistency.<\/p>\n
