Two Delhi-based street photography content creators have found themselves in the eye of the storm. The reason is simple and probably fair enough. The duo failed to recognise actor Amit Sadh, the man whose versatility speaks through his nuanced performances. Take, for example, Kai Po Che or Kyun Hota Hai Pyaar and even Prime Video\u2019s Breathe: Into the Shadows \u2014 the 46-year-old has been brilliant in breathing life into the characters. However, when he was recently spotted at Delhi\u2019s Khan Market, the two content creators did not realise who he was, sparking a debate on social media.<\/p>\n

In the video posted on Instagram, one of the photographers was heard introducing themselves, saying, \u201cWe are portrait photographers and content creators. We take stranger portraits\u2026”. Interrupting them, Amit Sadh playfully asked, \u201cAre you paying in bitcoins?” before jokingly adding, \u201cI am an actor and I don\u2019t work for free.”<\/p>\n

Having said that, Amit Sadh politely went on to enquire with the creators what they wanted, to which one of the women revealed, \u201cJust two or three pictures, humein laga hi tha aap koi actor ho, but yaad nhi aa raha tha kahan dekha hai (We had a hunch you are an actor, but couldn\u2019t place you).” At that moment, someone in the background called out the actor\u2019s name loud and clear before the video cut to Amit\u2019s portraits.<\/p>\n

Internet Fumes Over Creators\u2019 Failure to Recognise Amit Sadh<\/strong><\/p>\n

The post received multiple reactions, with many slamming the content creators for their lack of awareness.<\/p>\n

As if replying to the content creators\u2019 oblivion, actor Harshvardhan Rane wrote, \u201cA great actor of immense calibre of current times.” The common sentiment was, \u201cHow can you not know Amit Sadh?!” \u201cHe is our \u2018Aaditya\u2019 from the Kyun Hota Hai Pyar serial. Fav since then,” pointed out one person.<\/p>\n

Listing some of Amit Sadh\u2019s notable works, a fan recommended, \u201cWatch Breathe series, watch Kai Po Che, Sarkar 3, Gold, Sultan. Watch his interview, know where he came from and what he is now. How can you not know him??” \u201cNever say that I don\u2019t remember your name. It\u2019s disrespectful,” read a stern remark. Echoing a similar sentiment, someone else noted, \u201cI\u2019m sorry, but that was very disrespectful for such a good actor with great calibre. He handled it really well.”<\/p>\n

Amit Sadh too left a humble comment saying, \u201cIt was fun to bump into you at my favourite place, I sometimes go there to meet my father, like, elder brother and to watch people, bumping into you two was fun. Keep smiling, keep working on your craft and keep improving. Thank you for the impromptu photoshoot, Big love.”<\/p>\n

So far, the video has amassed over 2.1 million views.<\/p>\n
