Actor and video jockey Anusha Dandekar has opened up on the consequences of going public about romantic relationships. In a recent interview, the actress, who was previously dating Karan Kundrra, revealed how she dealt with one of her previous breakups. Even though she did not name Karan, she mentioned that her relationship was \u2018very public\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is pretty easy when you are relieved. It is easy when you don\u2019t want to have it and you get saved,” Anusha<\/a> told Humans of Bombay.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not going to blame only the media. We are accountable; we made it public. You are on your Instagram, showing it off, and it is public. You made a decision to make it public. You have to have a balance of privacy and publicity. But you have to take the hits when it is not working out,” the actress continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cI made a decision to go to my public space and tell them about my breakup. Because if they have shared the journey with me, I believe it is respectable to let them know this has happened. You can\u2019t suddenly say why are they in my business? I made them do so,” she added.<\/p>\n

Anusha and Karan dated for three years before they announced their breakup in 2020. They had even co-hosted the reality show MTV Love School.<\/p>\n

Even in September 2021, Anusha held an \u2018Ask Me Anything\u2019 session on Instagram when a user asked her: \u201cPlease, I want to know the direct reason for your break-up if you can tell it.” To this, the actress replied: \u201cWe deserve more honesty, love and happiness\u2026and it starts with self-love. So, I chose me. That\u2019s it.”<\/p>\n

Later, Karan also shared his side of the story while speaking to ETimes, \u201cI have remained silent out of respect for the relationship and I would like to keep it that way. At this point, I am also thinking about two families. I, too, can turn around and say a lot of things, but that\u2019s not me. What she shared was her perspective.”<\/p>\n
