In the continued exodus of domestic cricketers from their previous season teams, star India allrounder Mandeep Singh has left Tripura ahead of the domestic season, with the Ranji Trophy all set to begin on October 15, which will be the first tournament when all the states get into action.<\/p>\n

Mandeep\u2019s decision comes after spending only one season with Tripura, where the team finished seventh among eight teams in Group A, only ahead of Meghalaya.<\/p>\n

Mandeep played for 14 years for Punjab before moving to Tripura last year. The former, too, finished seventh in Group C, just above Bihar.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you, Tripura CA, for giving me the opportunity to play last season. I enjoyed my time there. Made some wonderful memories on and off the field. <\/span>Wishing the team success for the upcoming season. <\/span>Looking forward to the Next Chapter <\/span>\ud83d\ude4c\ud83c\udffd,” Mandeep wrote in an Instagram post.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mandeep featured in six <\/span>Ranji<\/span> Trophy games, six Vijay Hazare matches and seven Syed Mushtaq Ali outings for Tripura in the 2024-25 season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tripura couldn\u2019t progress past the group stage in either tournament, but Mandeep still managed to impress with his form.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the <\/span>Ranji<\/span> Trophy, Mandeep struck an unbeaten 124 and notched up five half-centuries, passing the fifty-run mark in every match he played last season. The hundred came against Services and the match ended in a draw.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mandeep hit three fifties in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, including a top score of 94 against Bengal and added two more half-centuries in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20s. The match against Bengal ended in a no result.<\/span><\/p>\n

After 15 years with Punjab, <\/span>where he led them to a Syed Mushtaq Ali title, ending a 30-year wait, Mandeep switched to Tripura.<\/span><\/p>\n

The star allrounder\u2019s side for the upcoming season is yet to be confirmed.<\/span><\/p>\n
