Bollywood actress Shamita Shetty has shared a candid revelation about the impact of her time on Bigg Boss OTT. The actress, who participated in the first season hosted by Karan Johar, admitted in a recent interview that while the show gave her recognition, it also took a toll on her mental health. Shamita explained that the intense atmosphere inside the Bigg Boss house left her highly anxious after the show ended, to the point where she needed professional therapy for almost a year.<\/p>\n

Shamita Shetty On The Aftermath Of Bigg Boss OTT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Recalling her emotional state after exiting the house, Shamita told Pinkvilla, \u201cBut when I came out of Bigg Boss, I needed therapy for a year because I couldn\u2019t understand what the hell was going on around me or how to react in the correct manner.”<\/p>\n

She elaborated that the blurred line between reality and fiction in the show deeply affected her. \u201cMy reality and fiction were kind of getting merged, intertwined with each other causing a lot of confusion in my head,” she added.<\/p>\n

Shamita went on to describe the heightened anxiety she felt post-show. \u201cLook, I came out highly anxious. I was already suffering from anxiety, so it kind of made it worse for me. I think I also became a little aggressive when I came out, and I think the house did that to me. Because I was constantly fighting.”<\/p>\n

The actress recalled the daily confrontations inside the Bigg Boss OTT house, explaining how even trivial arguments took a toll. \u201cImagine, practically every morning waking up to people screaming at each other for things as stupid as toothpaste. It\u2019s not a great environment. It disturbs you mentally. It disturbs you,” Shamita noted.<\/p>\n

Shamita Shetty\u2019s Recent Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite the challenges she faced, Shamita continues to move forward in her professional journey. She was last seen in The Tenant (2023), directed by Sushrut Jain, where she played a pivotal role. More recently, Shamita appeared alongside her sister, actress Shilpa Shetty, as a guest on The Great Indian Kapil Show, hosted by Kapil Sharma and streaming on Netflix.<\/p>\n
