Shah Rukh Khan has finally won his first National Film Award, and the superstar is brimming with gratitude. The actor, who won Best Actor for Jawan at the 71st National Film Awards, shared a moving video thanking his fans, directors, and family for their unwavering support.<\/p>\n

Wearing a beanie, T-shirt, denim, and a sling on his arm due to a recent injury, SRK said, \u201cI am overwhelmed with gratitude, pride, and humility. To be honoured with a National Award is a moment that I will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you so much to the jury, the chairman, and to the INB ministry, and to everyone who thought I was worthy of this honor.”<\/p>\n

The actor, currently recovering from an injury sustained on the sets of his upcoming film King, made the video despite being a bit \u201cindisposed.” Addressing his fans with warmth and humour, he added, \u201cI would love to spread my arms for you and share my love, but I\u2019m a bit indisposed. But don\u2019t worry, just keep the popcorn ready, I\u2019ll be back in theaters and soon on the street. So till then, just with one hand. Ready.”<\/p>\n

In his message, Shah Rukh thanked the directors and writers of 2023, with a special shoutout to Jawan director Atlee. \u201cSo thank you, Raju sir. Thank you, Saeed. And especially thanks to Atlee sir and his team for giving me the opportunity in Jawaan and trusting me to deliver and be worthy of this award.”<\/p>\n

SRK also acknowledged the support of his team, saying, \u201cThey bear with me my eccentricities and impatience and give me their full attention and make me look much better than I am.”<\/p>\n

Saving the most heartfelt thanks for his family and fans, he said, \u201cMy wife and kids\u2026 they know my obsession with cinema takes me away from them, but they all bear it with a smile\u2026 And lastly thank you to the fans for all the tears\u2026 this award is for you.”<\/p>\n

With his arm in a sling but his heart full, Shah Rukh Khan reminded everyone why he remains the undisputed King of Bollywood.<\/p>\n
