The wait for Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, is almost over. The film has cleared its censor hurdle with a U\/A 13+ certificate after the CBFC requested a few changes in language.<\/p>\n

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the board asked the makers to mute certain words and replace some terms in the subtitles. The word bastard was swapped for idiot, while church and bloody were muted and dropped from subtitles. Even the word father was asked to be muted. With these edits in place, the film was passed without any visual cuts.<\/p>\n

Param Sundari film length and release<\/strong><\/p>\n

The final runtime stands at 2 hours 16 minutes (136 minutes). The release date has been locked for 29 August 2025. Originally set for July, the film was pushed back to avoid a clash with Son of Sardaar 2. Makers felt the move was wise as the box office wave of Saiyaara could have also impacted collections.<\/p>\n

Param Sundari advance booking and promotions<\/strong><\/p>\n

Advance booking is already live, with a grand launch held in Jaipur. Sidharth and Janhvi have been promoting the film aggressively, aware of how crucial this release is after a string of underwhelming box office performances.<\/p>\n

Accent debate around Janhvi Kapoor<\/strong><\/p>\n

While the songs and trailer have created buzz, Janhvi\u2019s accent in the promos has become a talking point online. Many Malayali users criticised it, but the actress explained her side during an interview with ET Digital.<\/p>\n

She said, \u201cOf course, I\u2019m not a Malayali, and neither was my mother, but my character is actually half-Tamilian and half-Malayali. I\u2019ve always been very interested in that terrain and that culture, and I\u2019m also a huge fan of Malayalam cinema as well. So yeah, I think it was just a very fun, interesting story, and I\u2019m so happy and grateful that I could be a part of it.”<\/p>\n

Param Sundari box office<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the censor clearance now sorted, all eyes are on how Param Sundari performs at the box office. The strong pre-release buzz, Sidharth and Janhvi\u2019s pairing, and the chatter around Janhvi\u2019s accent could all play a role in its opening.<\/p>\n
