Preeti Jhangiani Shares How Shah Rukh Khan\u2019s Humility on Mohabbatein Changed Her.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

When Preeti Jhangiani walked onto the set of Mohabbatein for her debut, she expected nerves, pressure, and the weight of sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan. What she didn\u2019t expect was SRK sitting on the floor chatting casually with crew members \u2013 a superstar blending in like one of them.<\/p>\n

In a new interview with Lallantop Cinema, Preeti recalled how working with Shah Rukh became a life lesson in humility. \u201cSometimes, I would see Shah Rukh Khan sitting on the side and talking to a spot boy and he would be asking him about his life and he would be sitting on the floor. There was no special chair for him with his name,” she shared.<\/p>\n

The actor added that on later projects, she noticed how not all big stars behaved that way, which made SRK\u2019s grounded attitude stand out even more. \u201cHe never made us feel like we were working with a superstar because he was so in tune with us. He is a very charming person so he engages you very nicely. He went the extra mile for us and he would spend time with us. Even when he wanted to give us some suggestions, or some advice, he wouldn\u2019t frame it like an advice,” she said.<\/p>\n

Preeti remembered struggling during the shoot of Soni Soni. Lip-syncing wasn\u2019t working out for her, until SRK stepped in with a tip that shifted everything. \u201cHe came to me and told me that you sing the song. I wouldn\u2019t sing because I had a deep voice. I would get very conscious of it. He asked me to let go and sing loudly. He said the camera catches everything so if you sing loudly, it will show on screen. Then I sang loudly and the shot got okayed.”<\/p>\n

For Preeti, the takeaway was more than just about a film scene \u2013 it was about confidence and finding her voice, literally and figuratively.<\/p>\n
