A video of an Indian company\u2019s shareholders\u2019 meeting went viral on social media after a shareholder launched a scathing attack on the management with a barrage of \u201ccurses,” catching the attention of ace investor Vijay Kedia.<\/p>\n

During an annual general meeting, a shareholder began his speech by thanking officials for the opportunity, but then shared his frustration at only being allowed to speak once a year for only one minute despite being with the company for 10 years.<\/p>\n

The investor\u2019s rant included a mythological analogy, when he said, \u201cI would like to talk about Lord Brahma. Once someone asked Lord Brahma why dogs always live on the streets, and Brahma ji replied that those who don\u2019t return others\u2019 money and have ill intentions are made into dogs in their next life.”<\/p>\n

He then launched a scathing attack at the company\u2019s managing director, saying his \u201c40 years of experience” had not delivered any profit for the shareholders. \u201cI\u2019m saying it clearly \u2013 when your funeral rites will be held, not even ten people will attend the ceremony,” he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour personal wealth is going up, but the company is going down, the shareholders are lost, including you. You don\u2019t have shame for the last 10 years. You must resign in today\u2019s meeting because you can\u2019t run the show\u2026 Aap agley janam me kutta banogay, mai shraap deta hu (I curse you to be born a dog in the next life),” he added.<\/p>\n

\u2018Ek Chutki Share Ki Keemat..\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n

When the shareholder attacked the director\u2019s sons, the management told the investor to behave properly and maintain decorum. It was then revealed that the investor only had one share of the company.<\/p>\n

After the video spread like wildfire online, investor Vijay Kedia shared his two cents on the matter, criticising his choice of words yet acknowledging his grievance. \u201cWhile I condemn the words, the essence is clear: shareholder money must be respected,” he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIncompetent managements with fat salaries and perks must not forget\u2014times have changed. India\u2019s 13 crore investors have their own way of expressing themselves. It\u2019s high time\u2026 Ek chutki share ki keemat jaan lo, babu,” Kedia said.<\/p>\n

Several netizens agreed with Kedia\u2019s views on the matter. \u201cWhile tone matters, the core truth can\u2019t be ignored\u2014shareholders fuel the engine, and managements skating on thin ice with lavish perks will soon face the investor reckoning,” a user said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the stock price didn\u2019t gave any returns in last 5 years than management should be held responsible,” another person wrote.<\/p>\n
