Google AI is coming over to help and simplify how you edit photos. Yes, the company is bringing new AI upgrades for Photos users that lets them edit images just by asking the app to do it for them via Gemini. Google has offered new ways to edit images in the last few years but it does feel like AI will have the best impact on the users, especially when the technology will do most of the heavy work and thinking for them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Google Photos has faced issues with its AI upgrades recently, forcing the company to pause its roll out and fix the errors posed by the feature.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Google Photos Ask AI Edit: How It Works<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Google\u2019s new AI feature is coming with the Pixel 10 models for users in the US initially who can just ask Photos to edit the images for you. As you can see in the clip below, the Photos app is getting a design overhaul, most likely with the Android 16 version, which now has a Gemini bar below the picture. The new tool lets you edit using text or voice prompts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All you have to do is ask Photos for the edits you want to see,” Google pointed out about the new update in this post<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Photos app opens as usual, and lets you select a photo that you want Gemini to edit. You will see the \u2018Help me edit\u2019 bar where you can trigger Gemini and ask the AI model to edit\/modify the image.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You get pre-defined options like remove background clutter, focus more on him\/her etc. Besides that, you can change the background, remove objects from the image and let Gemini AI handle the thinking that is needed to complete the action.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Google is keeping this new AI feature exclusive to its new Pixel 10 series for now that has launched in India priced starting at Rs 79,999 for the base 256GB model. The company is also the first to bring WhatsApp calling support over satellite networks<\/a> that will be available on the new Pixel 10 phones from August 28, 2025 in select regions. <\/span><\/p>\n
