Apple could really look at Google for its own AI push?<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Apple\u2019s AI struggles could force the company to rely on its rival to power its future ambitions. The iPhone maker is reportedly talking to Google for a deal that will power Siri using its Gemini AI model. Apple has been promising its AI features since the iPhone 16 launch in 2024 but the company has faded into the background as Google and OpenAI bring new tools and models for the consumers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Apple even got people to buy its new iPhones with the assurance that its AI features are coming soon. But the overall situation has been far from promising, and Google could become its saviour in the AI battle, as mentioned in a report by Bloomberg.<\/span><\/p>\n

Going To Google, Not Surprising<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Apple has tried its luck with multiple entities in the reckoning for a lucrative iPhone deal. OpenAI is already in cahoots with the tech giant, signing a deal which offers ChatGPT and its latest iterations to iPhone and Mac users.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Al though, Apple says using the OpenAI chatbot means your data is sent to external servers, which it has no control over.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking of deals, Apple is even said to have looked at Perplexity internally, and considered putting in a bid to buy the company and its resources altogether.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So, the report of Google being added into this mix does have a lot of purpose, even though many are likely to see this as Apple\u2019s obvious surrender in its in-house AI push. To be fair, the company has had a core bunch of its AI engineers in recent months, and it needs a fresh push and faces to reignite that fire.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The report goes on to say that Google is internally training its AI model that will be processed through Apple\u2019s servers, which delivers its obvious focus on privacy for the users. But it doesn\u2019t feel like Apple will have anything to share about its future AI plans at the iPhone 17 launch next month. However, the company could have new tools ready to take advantage of its eventual updates along with other improvements to its devices. <\/span><\/p>\n
