Ace India batter Virat Kohli has returned to the Lord\u2019s for practice sessions, even as his international retirement rumours keep going around, according to a report in\u00a0RevSportz. <\/em>Kohli and ODI captain Rohit Sharma\u2019s participation in the 2027 Cricket World Cup remains uncertain.<\/span><\/p>\n

India\u2019s next ODI challenge is a three-match series against Australia, beginning October 19.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In preparation for the upcoming ODIs against Australia, Kohli<\/a> has already begun training, with the report saying that he spent two intense hours in the indoor nets at Lord\u2019s in London.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kohli trained with intensity against both spin and pace, showing a range of strokes that left onlookers impressed by his unwavering commitment to cricket.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla, in a podcast, was asked whether Rohit and Kohli would be given a farewell series similar to the one Sachin Tendulkar received in 2013 against the West Indies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen did they retire? Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will both play one-<\/span>dayers<\/span>. So, if they are playing, why are you worried about a farewell series? Yes, they have retired from two formats in phases, but they are playing in ODIs, right?” Shukla said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur policy at the BCCI is very clear. We don\u2019t tell any player to retire. A player makes that call himself. He has to decide and we respect that. We can only decide something when it\u2019s official,” Shukla added.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As of now, it remains uncertain whether Kohli and Rohit will be asked to feature against Australia A at home ahead of the white-ball tour in October-November.<\/span><\/p>\n

Part of Kohli\u2019s training has been overseen by Naeem Amin as well, the Gujarat Titans\u2019 assistant coach in the IPL.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the twilight of his career, Kohli has devoted extensive time to practice, with each session focused on honing existing strengths.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
