Star England pacer Kate Cross has boldly stated that she has fallen out of favour with head coach and England great Charlotte Edwards and the idea of not even being on the plane to India for the upcoming ODI World Cup feels \u2018savage\u2019, giving a no-holds-barred assessment of her snub from the squad.<\/p>\n

Cross, a regular in England\u2019s ODI setup in recent years, was omitted from the 15-member team for this autumn\u2019s World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.<\/span><\/p>\n

England opted for four spinners, <\/span>Sarah Glenn, Sophie Ecclestone, Linsey Smith and Charlie Dean, <\/span>while naming Lauren Filer, Lauren Bell and <\/span>Em<\/span> Arlott<\/span> as their frontline pacers, leaving fellow seamer Cross out of the team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cross was left out of the final ODI of the home summer against India and missed the Ashes loss in Australia last winter because of a back injury. Since her return, she has struggled to find her best form.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I\u2019m really struggling to get my head around is that it all feels like it\u2019s happened so quickly. <\/span>I\u2019ve just clearly fallen out of favour with Lot [head coach Charlotte Edwards]. I haven\u2019t processed it. It\u2019s still really raw,” Cross said while speaking on the\u00a0BBC No Balls Podcast.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBeing in the best XI is a different conversation, but not being on the plane, it feels savage. <\/span>The messages I\u2019ve had from everyone have been amazing. And ultimately, I\u2019m not going to be playing some cricket, it\u2019s minuscule in that sense,” Cross added.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
