Google AI mode on desktop and mobile is getting new student-friendly features just in time for the back to school season.<\/h2>\n

Google AI mode is getting new desktop-centric tools<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Google AI Mode in Search is now getting more power which helps you understand text given in images, craft a plan for school or work and others. The company\u2019s new push is part of the back to school season in the US and many other regions. Most of the new tools in AI Mode have been available on the Google app for Android and iOS users but now they will work on the desktop version through the Google Search website as well. <\/span><\/p>\n

More importantly, AI mode on the web is also<\/a> offering support for Live feature so that you can ask AI to see what\u2019s on the screen and explain it briefly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

New AI Mode Search Tools Coming Your Way<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Google says the new AI Mode features not only help students but also parents and educators with different use cases. AI Mode will soon let you upload PDF files on desktop so that the AI can help you with complex problems and questions through search. These could be documents around your summer project or a very important test coming up, Google\u2019s AI mode is there to assist and even teach you to some extent.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

AI Mode is also now getting a new Canvas mode where you can build plans for a project\/homework or even a test. It even organises the structure for the plan in a side panel with immediate updates available for viewing. There is a Create Canvas button in the AI mode that gets you started.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Search Live is another big element of Google\u2019s AI journey and its availability on the desktop makes it even more appealing for users. This is the Project Astra version taking full shape and now available to the public within the Google app. Google says you just have to open the main app and then tap on the Live icon to let AI see near you through the phone\u2019s camera.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And finally, Lens will also work on the desktop, primarily on Chrome. The company is adding a new \u2018Ask Google about this page\u2019 option when you click on the website\/address bar. Google will let the AI handle the heavy work, solve the problem in the background and present it on the screen. <\/span><\/p>\n
