Airtel is making its data plans for prepaid users costlier from this week onwards in India. Yes, people using Airtel prepaid plans will have to shell out more as the most affordable plan from the operator has been removed from its roster. We are talking about the Airtel Rs 249 prepaid plan that has gradually become the cheapest plan from the company after multiple revisions in the last one year. <\/span><\/p>\n

This plan gives you data usage, voice call support and free SMS benefits per day along with a decent chunk of validity. But with the telecom industry looking to increase its business revenue, the customer is likely to pay a heavy price, in this case, the Airtel prepaid users.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Airtel Prepaid Plan Worth Rs 249 Discontinued: What Do You Get Now?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So now that the Rs 249 Airtel prepaid plan has been removed since 00:00 August 20, 2025, what is the cheapest offering from the company in the country? You have to take the Rs 299 prepaid version which has all the same benefits plus gives you four additional days of validity. Industry analysts have repeatedly pointed out the companies are now going to hike tariffs and this seems to be one way of doing it.
