Mahavatar Narsimha, the Hombale Films-backed mythology movie, has created a storm at the box office. Released on July 25, it became the first-ever animated film to enter the Rs 200 crore club in India. Now, despite tough competition from films like Son of Sardaar 2, War 2 and Coolie, the film has maintained its strong hold and remains the top choice for cinephiles.<\/p>\n

Helmed by Ashwin Kumar, Mahavatar Narsimha<\/a> is loved for its stunning visuals, spiritual depth and modern adaptation of a classic mythological tale. It is now set to enter its fourth week and is showing no signs of slowing down.<\/p>\n

Mahavatar Narsimha Box Office Collection<\/strong><\/p>\n

On its fourth Wednesday, which is day 27, the film minted a total of Rs 1.75 crore at the domestic box office across all languages, as per sacnilk.com. With this, Mahavatar Narsimha\u2019s total 27-day collection comes to a whopping Rs 217.1 crore till now. This total comes after the film had opened at less than Rs 2 crore on day 1. It grew due to word of mouth and how.<\/p>\n

It was released in multiple languages worldwide, with the Hindi version contributing the highest to its overall collection.<\/p>\n

The film has already crossed the Rs 250 crore mark globally and is expected to top Rs 300 crore by the end of this month. While box office estimates are never exact, the ongoing trend indicates a straight path to that level.<\/p>\n

With no big projects coming this week, Mahavatar Narsimha\u2019s collection is expected to grow even further.<\/p>\n

Mahavatar Narsimha OTT Release<\/strong><\/p>\n

The OTT release date for Mahavatar Narsimha is not yet confirmed, though it is expected to be available on streaming platforms sometime after its theatrical run. Recently, during an interview with India Times, trade analyst Rohit Jaiswal hinted that the Hindi version of the film might arrive on JioHotstar.<\/p>\n

This speculation is based on previous collaborations between the platform and the production house. Previously, Hindi-dubbed versions of popular titles like Salaar and \u2018Raajakumara\u2019 were available on the same platform.<\/p>\n

Mahavatar Narsimha: Storyline<\/strong><\/p>\n

The film is based on the fourth avatar of Lord Vishnu. According to legend, a demon named Hiranyakashyap challenged Lord Vishnu and declared himself God. Meanwhile, the former\u2019s son, Prahlad, was regarded as intensely dedicated to Lord Vishnu. But, stunned by his father\u2019s suffering of the people and all the believers, Lord Vishnu appears as Narsimha, a man-lion, to defeat the demon.<\/p>\n
