The results of the much-anticipated 2025 Town Panchayat elections in Kadaba, Karnataka, that were held on August 17, have been declared, marking a politically crucial moment for the region. In its first election since being upgraded from a Gram Panchayat to a Town Panchayat, Kadaba delivered a decisive mandate to the Congress party, which secured 8 of the 13 seats and gained a clear majority. The victory allows Congress to take control of the newly formed local body, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was restricted to just 5 seats.<\/p>\n

The outcome carries particular significance as Kadaba is seen as an important hub in Dakshina Kannada district, both agriculturally and commercially.
