The line connecting Swami Samarth Nagar (Lokhandwala) to Vikhroli (Eastern Express Highway) will play a key role in making the daily commute easy and also reducing the travel time significantly.<\/p>\n<p>The elevated metro line is 15.31\u202fkilometres long and is being developed by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). It will cut JVLR travel time by 30\u201345 minutes. As per the officials, 71% of the viaduct work is completed, while 52% of the station work is accomplished.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Train and Operations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The line will use 108<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbctv18.com\/india\/environment\/mumbai-rains-metro-station-flooded-some-services-on-line-3-suspended-19610469.htm\"> metro<\/a> cars, forming 6-coach trains. CBTC signalling will allow trains to run more efficiently. Trains will run from 6 am to 10 pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Frequency:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Peak: 5-7 minutes<\/p>\n<p>Off peak: 8-10 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mumbai Metro-6 tickets:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It will use the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system: smart cards and QR code tokens.
