Andhra Pradesh Minister Janardhan Reddy’s brother allegedly slapped a constable on camera after being denied immediate entry to the temple.<\/h2>\n

Madan Bhupal Reddy, brother of Andhra Pradesh Minister BC Janardhan Reddy, allegedly slapped a constable in public at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Kolimigundla, Kurnool district.<\/p>\n

The incident was caught on camera, drawing criticism from the Opposition \u2013 YSRCP, which accused the TDP leaders and their family members of displaying \u201carrogance”, alleging that the police force has been \u201creduced to a tool under political pressure”.<\/p>\n

The assault incident took place on Wednesday during the temple\u2019s inauguration, where a large number of people were present.<\/p>\n

The TDP leader\u2019s brother allegedly demanded immediate entry into the temple and entered into a heated argument with Constable, identified as Jashwanth, who was on duty to manage the crowd.<\/p>\n

When the cop denied his request, Madan allegedly abused him verbally and attacked him physically, who was seen retaliating in the video.<\/p>\n

The situation was brought under control after other police personnel intervened. The video of the incident went viral on social media, prompting the TDP minister to condemn the attack. He called for strict legal action against his brother.<\/p>\n

YSRCP shared the video on X and attacked the government, alleging the incident reflects the \u201cgrowing impunity enjoyed by those close to power”.<\/p>\n
