Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty are one of the strongest couples in Bollywood, and they have stood by each other through all the highs and lows of life. The couple\u2019s love story is nothing short of a fairytale, but it has come with a condition from Shilpa\u2019s side. Raj recently revealed that to marry Shilpa Shetty<\/a>, he shifted to Mumbai because Shilpa had just one non-negotiable condition\u2014that she wouldn\u2019t shift out of India.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe said it clear-cut: \u2018I\u2019m not marrying any foreigner, any NRI. I have to stay in India, I can\u2019t leave,\u2019” recalled Kundra. Raj was born and brought up in London and later moved to Dubai in 2007. Shilpa met Raj in the UK as her manager there was a close mutual friend of Kundra.<\/p>\n

While talking to Bharti TV, Raj also recalled, \u201cWe got on really well while talking. That\u2019s when I started wooing her.” However, it was not easy for Raj to convince Shilpa, as she was clear she wanted to stay and marry in India. Kundra, who didn\u2019t have any property in India, called up a known real estate agent and immediately purchased a flat for both of them. He informed the actress and quickly proposed to her.<\/p>\n

Impressed by him, Shilpa agreed to tie the knot with him. \u201cIt didn\u2019t matter to me. I could work out of anywhere, so that wasn\u2019t a big deal. Ab dil aa gaya tha toh (Now that I\u2019d fallen for her), I had to go all out. I promised her that I\u2019d never force her to leave India. We\u2019d only go for holidays. She\u2019s India\u2019s own daughter, so we\u2019d stay here,” Kundra stated.<\/p>\n

While talking about why he didn\u2019t bring his parents along, Raj mentioned, \u201cThey\u2019ve been there for 55 years. So they only visit India for festivals like Diwali and Christmas now. But my doors for them are always open, whenever they plan to relocate.”<\/p>\n

Recently, the couple visited Vrindavan, where a video surfaced showing a deeply personal and unexpected moment. In the clip, Raj Kundra is seen listening to spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj<\/a> speak about his health struggles. Maharaj revealed that both his kidneys have failed and that he has been living with the condition for over a decade. In a spontaneous gesture, Raj offered his own kidney to Maharaj, leaving Shilpa visibly surprised. While the Maharaj appreciated the sentiment, he politely declined the offer.<\/p>\n
