Malcolm-Jamal Warner, the American actor best known for his role as Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show<\/em>, has died at the age of 54, PEOPLE<\/em> magazine reported.<\/p>\n

Warner reportedly drowned while swimming during a family vacation in Costa Rica, the outlet said, citing its own sources. His representatives have not yet issued a statement.<\/p>\n

Warner rose to fame as the affable son of Bill Cosby\u2019s character, Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable, on the iconic sitcom The Cosby Show<\/em>, which aired from 1984 to 1992. The role made him a household name and cemented his place in television history.<\/p>\n

In a 2023 interview with PEOPLE<\/em> magazine, Warner spoke about his connection with the show, saying, \u201cI know I can speak for all the cast when I say The Cosby Show is something that we are all still very proud of.”<\/p>\n
