Stocks To Watch Today, August 18:<\/strong> The domestic equity markets are set for a gap-up opening on Monday, on the back of firm domestic signals and steady global trends. The GIFT Nifty trades higher by 266 points or 1.07% at 24,921, indicating early strength in trade. Here are stocks to watch for today based on companies\u2019 quarterly results, fresh orders, acquisitions, and leadership changes.<\/p>\n

Q1 Earnings in Focus<\/strong><\/p>\n

A mixed bag of quarterly results came in from companies across sectors.<\/p>\n

Vodafone Idea<\/strong>\u2018s losses widened to Rs 6,608.1 crore, though revenue grew nearly 5%.<\/p>\n

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals<\/strong> saw profit plunge 86% YoY to Rs 47 crore due to exceptional losses, while revenue remained flat.<\/p>\n

Spandana Sphoorty Financial<\/strong> slipped into a Rs 360.2 crore loss, hurt by higher impairments.<\/p>\n

Inox Wind<\/strong> reported a strong quarter with profit more than doubling to Rs 97.3 crore, supported by 29% revenue growth.<\/p>\n

Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services<\/strong> posted a 56% jump in profit, with revenues up 31.6%.<\/p>\n

Jindal Poly Films<\/strong> saw profit fall 84.5%, while National Fertilizers posted a wider loss as revenue tanked over 30%.<\/p>\n

Easy Trip Planners (EaseMyTrip)<\/strong> posted a 98.7% profit decline, while Swan Energy and Glenmark too reported steep drops.<\/p>\n

Jyoti Structures<\/strong> delivered a turnaround with profit up 119% YoY.<\/p>\n

On the brighter side, Indo Rama Synthetics<\/strong> swung to a profit of Rs 52.75 crore, aided by 38% revenue growth.<\/p>\n

Credit Ratings Upgraded<\/strong><\/p>\n

S&P Global Ratings upgraded several large Indian corporates and banks.<\/p>\n

ONGC, Power Grid, NTPC, and Tata Power were raised to \u2018BBB\u2019 from \u2018BBB-\u2018. Banks, including SBI, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Union Bank, and Indian Bank, also received upgrades, along with finance players Bajaj Finance, Tata Capital, and L&T Finance.<\/p>\n

Order Wins and Project Announcements<\/strong><\/p>\n

Several companies reported fresh order inflows and new project plans.<\/p>\n

KEC International<\/strong> bagged contracts worth Rs 1,402 crore across its businesses, pushing YTD order intake past Rs 8,400 crore.<\/p>\n

PNC Infratech<\/strong> won a 300 MW solar power project with energy storage from NHPC.<\/p>\n

EMS<\/strong> secured an order worth Rs 104 crore from UP Jal Nigam.<\/p>\n

Globe Civil Projects<\/strong> landed a Rs 222.2 crore order to construct an international cricket stadium in Haryana.<\/p>\n

JK Cement<\/strong> approved a Rs 4,805 crore greenfield expansion project in Rajasthan and Punjab.<\/p>\n

Acquisitions & Partnerships<\/strong><\/p>\n

Merger & acquisition activity was another highlight.<\/p>\n

EaseMyTrip<\/strong> announced three acquisitions, including a 50% stake in London\u2019s Three Falcons Hotel and a full buyout of AB Finance in Gurugram.<\/p>\n

Dixon Technologies<\/strong> partnered with HKC Overseas, which will take a 26% stake in its subsidiary for LCD and TFT module manufacturing.<\/p>\n

KPIT Technologies<\/strong> completed the first tranche ($51 million) of its $157 million acquisition of Caresoft Global.<\/p>\n

Sudarshan Pharma Industries<\/strong> will acquire land and plant assets in Telangana for Rs 25.5 crore.<\/p>\n

Signature Global<\/strong> acquired 33.47 acres in Gurugram to expand its land bank.<\/p>\n

Regulatory & Compliance Updates<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vedanta<\/strong> received a warning from SEBI for modifying a Scheme of Arrangement without prior consent.<\/p>\n

Somany Ceramics<\/strong> temporarily halted production at its Kassar plant after gas supply from GAIL was disrupted due to flooding.<\/p>\n

Green Energy Developments<\/strong><\/p>\n

Torrent Power<\/strong> inaugurated a green hydrogen plant in Gorakhpur with 72 TPA annual capacity, blending hydrogen into its city gas network.<\/p>\n

Hindustan Oil Exploration Company<\/strong> resumed production at Block B-80 after re-mooring its FSO vessel.<\/p>\n
