The mood turned quite gloomy at The Hundred on Saturday as Trent Rockets batter Adam Hose suffered what looked like a horrific injury during a match against Southern Brave at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.<\/p>\n

It happened near the end of the first innings with just 20 balls remaining. Hose tried to slide and stop a well-hit shot from Michael Bracewell at mid-wicket, but lost his footing and ended up twisting his ankle. The live pictures were quite graphic as Hose rolled on the ground in pain before the medical staff rushed in.<\/p>\n

The physios put a screen on the ground for Hose\u2019s privacy as he received treatment, before being helped out of the ground and rushed to the hospital. Reports coming from England suggest that he has likely dislocated his ankle. On Sunday, Hose posted a photo on Instagram with his foot wrapped up in a bandage.<\/p>\n

\u201cQuick message to say I appreciate each and everyone of you who have reached out. It\u2019s going to be a long old ride but I couldn\u2019t ask for more amazing people around me. Big love,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

Further scans would have needed to be done to determine the exact severity of the injury. However, a dislocated ankle usually takes several weeks to heal.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the league took to social media to post a message: \u201cWe wish Adam Hose a speedy recovery after an injury to his leg in the field.”<\/p>\n

Worcestershire CCC also wished him well. \u201cEveryone at Worcestershire CCC sends their best wishes to Adam Hose, who has sustained a lower leg injury while playing for Trent Rockets. We wish him a speedy recovery and will provide further updates in due course. \ud83e\ude75” the club wrote on social media<\/p>\n

Despite being a batter down in the second innings, Rockets managed to secure a four-wicket win. Chasing 141 in 100 balls, the Rockets were 60\/4 at one stage but Tom Moores hit a brilliant 55 from 30 balls while opener Tom Banton made 49 from 38 as they stabilised things with a 76-run stand.<\/p>\n

The win put the Rockets level on points with table-toppers Northern Superchargers while Brave dropped to fourth.<\/p>\n
