Producer Pragya Kapoor has come out in support of actress Mrunal Thakur after an old interview clip resurfaced where Mrunal was accused of body-shaming Bipasha Basu.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Producer Pragya Kapoor has extended her support to actress Mrunal Thakur, who recently found herself at the center of an online controversy after an old interview resurfaced in which she had made a disparaging comment about Bipasha Basu. The clip, dating back to Mrunal\u2019s Kumkum Bhagya days, reignited trolling and criticism, with many calling out the actress for body-shaming.<\/p>\n

As the backlash grew, Mrunal took accountability for her words and issued a heartfelt apology on social media. Reflecting on her younger self, she wrote, \u201c19-year-old me as a teenager said many silly things. I didn\u2019t always understand the weight of my voice or how much words, even in jest, could hurt. But it did and for that I am deeply sorry. My intent was never to body-shame anyone. It was playful banter in an interview, that went too far. But I understand how it came across, and I truly wish I had chosen my words differently. With time, I\u2019ve grown to appreciate that beauty comes in every form, and that\u2019s something I truly value now.”<\/p>\n

Mrunal\u2019s candid admission struck a chord with many, including producer Pragya Kapoor, who publicly backed the actress with an Instagram story. She praised Mrunal\u2019s character, writing, \u201cMrunal, your kindness, generosity, and endless support make you one of the rarest souls I know. Keep glowing and spreading love everywhere you go. Love you, darling.”<\/p>\n

Previously, Hona Khan also came forward to support Sita Ramam actress. She took to her Instagram stories and reacted to Mrunal Thakur\u2019s public apology over remarks about Bipasha Basu. \u201cWisdom is the fruit of the tree of Knowledge, rooted in experiences.
