Actor Shruti Haasan had a rather amusing start to the first day, first show of Coolie in Chennai. The actress, who stars in Lokesh Kanagaraj\u2019s latest directorial, was stopped by an overzealous security guard at the entrance of the theatre and had to convince him that she was indeed part of the film.<\/p>\n

The funny moment was captured by Shruti\u2019s friend, rapper Yung Raja, who later shared it on Instagram stories. The video quickly spread across social media, delighting fans and theatre owners alike.<\/p>\n

Shruti Pleads With Guard: \u2018I\u2019m the Heroine, Sir\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the viral clip, Shruti is seen sitting in a car with friends on her way to catch Coolie in Chennai. As they attempted to enter the venue, a security guard stopped them, seemingly unaware of who she was.<\/p>\n

Shruti responded with laughter, politely telling him, \u201cI\u2019m in the movie. Please allow me, anna (brother). I am the heroine, sir,” leaving everyone around her in splits. The guard eventually allowed her entry after the humorous exchange.<\/p>\n

Vettri Theatres proprietor Rakesh Gowthaman also reshared the video on X (formerly Twitter), calling the moment a result of his staff\u2019s \u2018overperforming\u2019 duties. He wrote, \u201cMy man Raayal over performed his duty. Hilarious moment. Thanks for being with us @shrutihaasan mam\u2026 Hope you enjoyed the show!!! #CoolieFDFS in #Vettri.”<\/p>\n

Fans loved Shruti\u2019s lightheartedness in the situation. In Coolie, Shruti plays Preethi alongside an ensemble cast featuring Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Upendra, and Aamir Khan. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.<\/p>\n

Released on August 14, the Rajinikanth-starrer clashed with Ayan Mukerji\u2019s War 2 at the box office. Despite the competition, Coolie made an impressive \u20b9150 crore worldwide on its opening day, cementing its status as a blockbuster.<\/p>\n
