Bollywood stars marked India’s 79th Independence Day with heartfelt Instagram posts. <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

India is celebrating its 79th Independence Day on Friday. On this special day, several Bollywood celebrities took to their respective social media handles to send wishes to their fellow countrymen. Among others, Mrunal Thakur, Vikrant Massey, Anupam Kher, Sonu Sood and Rajkummar Rao also extended wishes.<\/p>\n

Mrunal Thakur<\/a> shared a note on her Instagram stories, which read, \u201cWe carry the stories, remember the struggles, and honour the space to write our own.”<\/p>\n

Sonu Sood took to his Instagram handle and shared a series of throwback pictures from \u2018Fateh\u2019 days when he visited the Attari \u2013 Wagah Border. The actor was holding a tricolour and was also seen posing with the soldiers in the photos. In the caption of her post, Sonu simply wrote, \u201cHappy Independence Day.”<\/p>\n

Rajkummar Rao also penned down a heartfelt note and wrote, \u201cHappy Independence Day everyone. Heartfelt gratitude to our Indian Armed Forces for their unwavering courage, dedication, and selfless sacrifices in protecting us and our nation. Jai Hind \u2764\ufe0f.”<\/p>\n

Anupam Kher also shared Independence Day wishes via his Instagram handle and hoped for development in the country.<\/p>\n

Akshay Kumar also dropped a picture with \u201creal-life heroes” and appreciated those who clean Mumbai\u2019s beaches. \u201cFreedom feels brighter when we care for the ground beneath our feet. Was enjoying beachside volleyball when I met these real-life heroes keeping our beaches clean\u2026 all smiles, all heart,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

Nimrat Kaur also celebrated the Independence day with her nani and hosted a tricolour. She shared pictures from her celebration on her Instagram handle and wrote, \u201cMy Naniji says \u201cIndia warga hor koi desh hai hee nahin!!” (There\u2019s no country like India!!) Born in 1931, the India she witnessed take birth and blossom, I pray today and always, grows from strength to strength, glory to glory\u2026\ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf3\u2728 Happy Independence Day to all my fellow citizens\u2026\ud83e\udde1\ud83e\udd0d\ud83d\udc9a.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, earlier today, Ahaan Panday was also seen celebrating the Indian Independence Day amid the success of his debut movie, Saiyaara. His mother, Deanne Panday, took to her Instagram handle and dropped a series of pictures of her son from the I-Day celebration at their Mumbai residence. In the pictures, Ahaan was seen posing for the cameras with his furry friend. The young star sported a white shirt to mark the special occasion. A tricolour was also seen in the backdrop.<\/p>\n
