In previous decades, smoking became more prevalent among women, particularly starting in the mid-20th century. This delayed uptake means that women who started smoking later are now reaching the age where lung cancer typically manifests, even if they\u2019ve since quit. Furthermore, the rise of e-cigarettes and vaping, often marketed with appealing flavors, has introduced a new generation of young women to nicotine and potentially harmful inhaled substances, the long-term effects of which are still emerging.<\/p>\n
